hippy roving

first, the roving at the far right of the photo looks really ugly, yes? well, it spun up into the gorgeous yarn above. don't judge a roving by its colors...

well, i woke up exhausted, nothing unusual, we all do, right? last night my fingertips were numb. i thought i had just rubbed them the wrong way with my hands in water all day and then spinning for so long. i woke up this morning, and they are tingly, i shower. i feel shitty. dizzy. my arm is numb to the elbow and it feels burny. like when you have an iv in...it is up to my shoulder now, just my right hand. i haven't worn my brace for most of the weekend, so i am not sure if that is why, i didn't want to look gimpy, although i am, so i didn't wear it out. i forgot to put it on before going to sleep last night. i hope that is all. it scares the bejesus out of me. i got about an inch away from hysterical, i had appointments at work, and really could use the cash, really, really, and had to cancel them. amy calmed me down, it is a good thing she called. we all know i am not good at sharing my mysery and talking to someone about it. i am more of a try to knit, cannot knit because my arm is useless, go in the shower and cry. maybe i will use this time off to go sit in the baby pool and read.

i also really want to start sewing and have not even taken the sewing machine out of it's house. what is wrong with me? oh yeah, lupus. that wolf is so damn greedy sometimes. then i think of all the artists that were really sick, eva hesse, frieda, and did stuff anyway...i do a lot in bed. ok, i am going to read. that won't hurt my arm and this is...

more later..and thanks to all of you for all the sweet and kind complements on the yarn...when i spin enough for a small project some of you will get some...yay!! i spun most bluky and almost no twist out of laziness so i had some samples. you should see how organized they are! really...

xo,
n.

holy shit! the roving's lovely! it always looks like tye-dye hippy ugliness until you get it spun up, mine always does. my neighbors must think we're the biggest hippies ever (i dry it hung on the porch). Great job! I'm dying right now, see if i can even come close to your beauty!

I think that roving looks great! I'd take up spinning, but I know I shouldn't.
