fiber friday...at long last!

so! i have been averaging about 2 or 3 skeins of yarn a day and 1 or 2 hats. not too bad. it takes me longer to prep the fiber, even with the drumcarder than to spin it. i don't know how i lived without it. spinning is so labor intensive when you are carding by hand. you know? i made some of my favorite yarns today. it is amazing how when you start cranking out lots of stuff, you inadvertently make better and better stuff. when i was carding some fiber i had dyed, i hated it. i thought it would be ugly. and it turned out to be one of my more favorite yarns. pretty cool!
the first two go together, they are merino with sparkle and a bit of baby alpaca...i love the golden one extra! yum! the 3rd one is ramie i think. or maybe soy silk. i really should label this stuff...the last one, i really love, is merino and uncarded soysilk, although i think that the person that sold it to me may have sold me something else altogether. it won't take dye, so i dunno what it is.

jake and i might meet heather to-morrow to go to ligonier days, a crafty fair thingy...although it is hard to go anywhere that you may possibly want to buy anything cause i am strapped! oop!

AND...diana sent me my logos and they look amazing. i am so excited. i will keep you posted!
have a fun weekend y'all.

These are fabulous yarns! They have such whimsy to them. And the blending is great. My fav. is the rust red one looks so squishy.
