throbbing gristle...i mean brains.

after chatting with barbe for a while, i sat down to blog and realized that i have a pounding headache. pound. pound. pound.

i spun a couple of bobbins of yarn, i need to skein stuff up, and i have a BUNCH of orders to pack up and ship. if you have been waiting, i apologize. i refuse to go to the post office the days before christmas. refuse. so things are a bit backed. and then, anyone that paid with a check, it took extra time to clear, and then we were out of town, the post office is closed monday and today, so! and! the battery died on my car. we discovered that the trunk had been popped, accidentally, i guess and must have been enough to kill the battery. aaaargh. jakie bought a new one and replaced it, but even had i wanted to go anywhere, the car was dead until dinnertime. poor mazda.

i have still been having crazy dreams, the same thing as before. when i woke up, i was too tired to get up, which drives me crazy. also, i have been having bad bad leg cramps which make spinning not so fun. waa waa waa. what else? well! i ordered an electric wheel! i am going to be a babe dealer. i haven't used their regular wheels, but the electric spinner is under $300 and has a...wait for it...2 pound bobbin! woooooooooo hooooooo! the bobbins are cheap and i am really excited to try it out. you can put it on a table top or use the legs. i also got a set of handcards for prepping my fluffy fine fibers for lumps and bumps. my carder just eats that stuff up. i will keep you all posted on it works out. oh, also, the babe line all has a 30 day money back deal, so if you get something and don't like it, you can return it. not bad. if you want to check it out, go here email me if you have any questions. i haven't added it onto the luxe site yet.

and this is one of my crazy batts spun into a quick single. fuuuuuuun!
never

sorry for the boring posts lately.

beautiful yarn as always. those babe wheels look mighty interesting. you'll have to let me know how you like yours since my poor louet is a little worse for the wear.

happiest of new years to you.

cheers.

hey thanks jamye!

and hannah, on a louet, you can get new parts for the bits that wear out for next to nothing. i have a louet, too, and i love her, to be honest. but i have a viciously annoying squeak that i cannot find. recardless, if you need help trying to fix it, let me know. i haven't used any babe stuff, but the owner and his wife are avid spinners, so it seems like they would be good, and you can't beat the price, even if it is mediochre. an electric wheel from anywhere else that only has baby bobbins that cost 30+bucks are more than 3 times the price! whoa!

happy things to come!
